The Institute of Classical Studies offers classes in classical philology, encompassing Old Greek and Latin philology, ancient culture and its influence on modern European cultures, as well as New Latin studies.
The Institute of Classical Studies offers a five-year master's programme, with a possibility of obtaining a bachelor's degree upon successful completion of the third year. The range of courses offered by the Institute of Classical Studies broadens every year and includes interdisciplinary problems and extracurricular classes in patristics, Renaissance literature and thought, ancient rhetoric, the New Greek language and epigraphics.
Such a broad-based humanities education gives our graduates a very good labour market position (research institutes, libraries, archives, publishing houses, the mass media). Students also develop and master teaching and pedagogical skills (methodology classes and classroom practice in secondary schools), which give them qualifications to teach the Latin language and ancient culture in secondary schools.
